WA battery support
Understand the support.
Price the right system.
The maximum only matters when the household, product, usable capacity, vendor and VPP conditions all line up.

Two networks.
Different maximums.
Maximum state figures are based on 10 kWh of usable battery capacity. Smaller eligible batteries may receive less.
Subject to the current regional scheme and eligibility conditions.
Vendor note: PSA’s current vendor listing is for Synergy customers. Horizon Power customers need a Horizon-approved vendor.

Quick eligibility check
Four things need
to line up.
PSA can discuss the installation and quote assumptions, but final eligibility follows the scheme rules.
- 01
Eligible household and network
The account, property and customer need to meet the current program requirements.
- 02
Approved product and vendor
The selected battery and participating vendor must be accepted under the scheme.
- 03
Usable capacity
The maximum state figure assumes 10 kWh usable capacity—not simply the model’s nominal label.
- 04
Eligible VPP participation
Participation in an eligible virtual power plant is required for the WA rebate. Read those terms carefully.

Federal battery STCs
Another support stream.
A different calculation.
Federal support is delivered through Small-scale Technology Certificates for eligible battery installations.
The value depends on eligible usable capacity, installation timing, the applicable STC factor and certificate arrangements. Support also tapers across capacity bands and is capped, so one headline rate should not be multiplied across unlimited capacity.

Ask for the total

A transparent quote makes it easier to compare equipment and installation without losing track of conditional incentives.

Important context
Scheme information changes.
This guide reflects public information checked on 31 August 2026 and is general information only. Availability, values, products, vendors, VPP terms and household eligibility can change. Confirm the current scheme and written quote before making a decision.
Synergy customer?
Check the system and
eligibility together.
PSA’s current scheme vendor listing covers Synergy customers. Horizon Power customers should use a Horizon-approved vendor.
